The Twin-House has been conceived as combinative villas inside an elongated plot of land facing the Atlantic Ocean that houses other seven similar homes for a total of 4000sqm. The two residences, spanning 172 sqm each, are located on the western coast of Formentera Island. Each residence occupies three levels: ground floor, first floor and rooftop. The fluidity of the ground floor is achieved through a free-flowing floor plan that comprises the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and a cozy toilet. The first floor comprises the master bedroom equipped with a walk-in closet and a bathroom. A steel ladders is used to access the rooftop from the courtyard.
The complex is enclouded by a wall that defines a courtyard conceived as meditation garden with a swimming pool and a lounge area for eating and relax. Due to the strength of the wind in this area of the island the house is protected by a concrete wall cladded with local stone, perforated towards the sea by two openings that acting as diaphragms create dramatic views (internally from the living room and externally from the swimming pool) of the Ocean.
